White Manna

Il miracolo dell’acidume rock che si perpetua quando qualcuno imbraccia chitarra, basso e batteria, si dota di fuzz e sano vizio psichedelico. I White Manna hanno avviato l’ennesimo giro per gli universi di Spacemen 3 (“Acid Head”) e Stooges (“Keep Your Lantern Burning”), portando con loro pulviscoli kraut/garage (“Mirror Sky”) e finendo per raggiungere, in corsa, gente come Wooden Shjips o Black Angels. Facile ad immaginare, non poi tanto da realizzare, pena sbrodolamenti, noia e ripetitività male organizzata. Si maneggiano ingredienti comuni e, impastati male, ecco che la schifezza è subito pronta. I White Manna hanno imparato a cucinare bene e quindi il pranzo è nutriente e gustoso. Minutaggio mai basso, ma scaletta compatta (normale così), furia elettrica sempre trascesa da pulsioni psych ancestrali (la splendida “Don’t Gun Us Down”) e tanto amore per le chitarre al comando.
