Ur-electronics: vive la France!

Un viaggio frammentario attraverso quasi sessant’anni di ricerca sonora in Francia: partiamo da Olivier Messiaen con lo struggente Oraison suonato con l’Onde Martenot, uno dei primi strumenti elettronici, passando da Pierre Schaeffer, padre della musique concrète, e da Edgard Varèse con il suo Poème électronique, composto per il Padiglione Philips di Le Corbusier in occasione dell’Expo di Bruxelles del 1958. Attraversiamo gli anni Sessanta con tre compositori legati a Schaeffer e al GRM di Parigi: Pierre Henry, di cui ascoltiamo una collaborazione con Michel Colombier, seguito da François Bayle ed Eliane Radigue. La playlist si chiude con Michèle Bokanowski e Christine Groult, compositrici elettroacustiche che intersecano le proprie carriere con il GRM, l’IRCAM ed Eliane Radigue, la cui opera vale la pena approfondire.
