Torna Carlos Giffoni: in ascolto “Vain’s Face” da Vain

Venezuelano trapiantato negli Stati Uniti, organizzatore dell’a suo tempo famoso No Fun Fest, Giffoni – una volta piuttosto prolifico – è stato fermo sei anni. Vain, il suo quarto full length, uscirà per la iDEAL di Nordwall il 16 maggio.

Si tratta della colonna sonora di un film immaginato da Carlos, protagonista una donna dai poteri telecinetici che vaga per i deserti e le spiagge della California, alla ricerca di risposte sul suo passato.

Il comunicato stampa, prevedibilmente, sottolinea come il disco sia stato registrato con strumentazione analogica e che il processo non ha implicato l’uso di editing digitale o di sovraincisioni. Si tratta “banalmente” dell’esito di una selezione operata su dodici ore di materiale.
