Sam Burton: il video di “I Don’t Blame You”

“I Don’t Blame You” è il terzo pezzo tratto da Dear Departed, secondo album del cantautore losangelino Sam Burton, prodotto da Jonathan Wilson (Angel Olsen, Father John Misty, Margo Price). Uscita prevista per il 14 luglio su Partisan Records (Idles, Fontaines D.C., PJ Harvey…).

Il disco ha a che fare col dolore, con la perdita e col dire addio a una vecchia versione di noi stessi.

Per Sam “I Don’t Blame You” è un pezzo importante, il suo ritmo ipnotico gli rimaneva in testa e lo trasportava. “I Don’t Blame You” è ispirato al paesaggio che lo circondava in quel momento (Sam si è trasferito in un’area rurale nel nord California, tra boschi e fiumi), che gli ha ispirato delle immagini poi catturate dallo spirito del brano.
