Red Fang: in ascolto “It’s Always There” dalla raccoltona Deep Cuts

I Red Fang sono in giro già da vent’anni. La band inizia a festeggiare con l’uscita, il 14 marzo, di Deep Cuts, una raccolta di 26 brani non inclusi negli album, cover e singoli precedentemente inediti.

Un’anteprima dell’album arriva oggi con l’uscita di “It’s Always There”, una traccia della versione deluxe di Whales And Leeches. Ricordo che mi piaceva molto l’atmosfera malinconica di “It’s Always There”, ma io e Aaron non avevamo idee vocali in mente, ricorda Bryan Giles (chitarra e voce). Quando vivevo a San Diego, sono diventato amico di Pall Jenkins e sono sempre stato un fan di Three Mile Pilot e The Black Heart Procession, quindi è stato emozionante per me coinvolgerlo per dare vita alla canzone. Penso che abbia fatto un lavoro davvero bello!

Deep Cuts include anche diverse cover, come “Over The Edge” dei Wipers e “Listen To Sirens” dei Tubeway Army, insieme a rari brani originali dei Red Fang come “Antidote” (dal gioco mobile “Red Fang: Headbang!”) e “Wires (demo)”, che fa il suo debutto in vinile.
