NAOTODATE, See You, Zed


 

Naotodate è un musicista toscano con precedenti esperienze in Hate & Merda e La Cuenta, tutte band delle quali ci siamo occupati ampiamente. Apprendo poi che, da solista, già in passato aveva fatto uscire delle cassette autoprodotte, una sempre per Dio Drone, e che ora torna con questo nome per farci ascoltare un omaggio a un libro di Philip K. Dick, “The Three Stigmata Of Palmer Eldritch”, per la serie “NUIT” della bolognese MU; la copertina fa riferimento proprio a quelle celebri della storica collana di science-fiction “Urania”, che aveva visto tra i nomi pubblicati pure quello dell’autore di “Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheeps”. E le atmosfere sono, ovviamente, dure e problematiche: le tempeste noise-drone di “C(at)haostrofe” e “Ready, Unsteady”, oppure espressione latente di una voglia di muoversi in una danza scatenata a ritmi techno&noise non molto lontani da certi dischi di Muslimgauze, in “By The River Of Eskaton”, per poi perdersi definitivamente in un abisso che fa paura, in “See You, Zed”. Ci vediamo da qualche altra parte, Zed…
