Da Verona, i Farglow sfidano la tempesta di meteore delle definizioni di genere, pubblicando un disco che sarebbe troppo troppo facile definire post-rock. Vero è che si tratta dell’indicazione che viene in mente prima di tutte le altre. Mettiamola così: Meteores Remotes è un disco strumentale capace di richiamare il meglio del classicissimo schema pieni/vuoti (“Cob Swan Race”) dei Tortoise (o dei Mogwai più rilassati). La bontà dei pezzi sta anche in una scrittura ispirata, che non annoia e non cade mai in schemi abusati o in colpi ad effetto. Questo diviene evidente quando ci si accorge come la grammatica musicale dei Farglow sia variegata (le acusticherie di “Cob Swan Race” o “Playground”, le trame quasi geometiche di “Super Red Carpet”) e dedita solo ad emozionare (“Talking About Beatles). Affascinante.
