DIRTY TRAINLOAD, A Place For Loitering

Terzo disco e Bob Cillo rimane una certezza in ambito rock/garage/blues. La passione trasuda da ogni nota, si tratti di pezzi autografi oppure di cover. Suoni spettacolari (produzione by Fabio Magistrali), la sei corde svetta e per la prima volta c’è una batteria “vera” (Go Balzano) a tenere il passo di riff e svisate vocali. “Big Road Blues” è il ponte ideale tra i dischi precedenti e A Place For Loitering, dato che negli altri pezzi la chitarra ha un piglio più rock che blues, è più tagliente e affilata, nonostante quella sensazione di polveroso e caracollante (“Tracktors Downtown” con armonica assassina) pervada ogni momento. “I’m Working On It” è bella satura e sfodera un tiro che asfalterebbe anche i più scettici, peculiari (nel senso migliore del termine) la “bondiana” “You Only Live Twice” e l’abusato traditional “When The Saints Goes Marching In”. A concludere, la “If I Had Possession Over Judgement” di Robert Johnson, mentre la puntina viene riportata all’inzio per averne ancora. From Bari with passione e tradizione, una bordata di blues’n’roll da cui pure Jack White avrebbe qualcosa da imparare.
